The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Property Manager to join a high-performing retail property team, supporting the management of a portfolio of shopping centres. Working closely with an experienced Property Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the assets. This includes financial management, tenant liaison, lease administration and supporting the delivery of asset strategies. You will also have the opportunity to step into a Property Manager capacity when required, making this an ideal role for someone looking to take the next step in their property career. Property & Asset Support • Assist in the execution of asset strategies across retail centres • Support the Property Manager in maximising asset performance • Step in for the Property Manager during periods of absence • Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors and stakeholders Financial Management • Assist with annual budgets and ongoing forecasting • Monitor arrears and support debtor management processes • Prepare tenant outgoings, rent reviews and reconciliation calculations • Process invoices, purchase orders and financial approvals Lease Administration • Coordinate lease documentation and approvals • Maintain tenancy schedules and critical date registers • Manage lease compliance including rent reviews and obligations • Liaise with internal teams to progress leasing documentation Systems & Reporting • Maintain accurate records across internal systems (including Yardi) • Update registers including insurance and bank guarantees • Prepare reports, spreadsheets and financial tracking documents Administration • Manage tenant correspondence in line with legislation • Coordinate lease assignments and legal documentation • Process tenant vacates and bank guarantee releases • Support compliance with Retail Tenancy Act requirements Customer Experience & Team Support • Oversee Customer Service Officers including rostering and performance • Ensure high standards of customer service across centres • Support centre presentation, inspections and customer experience • Coordinate and contribute to team meetings and reporting Ideal candidate will have: • Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail or commercial property • Strong financial acumen including budgeting and arrears management • Experience with lease administration and tenancy legislation • Advanced Microsoft Office skills • Yardi software experience is highly regarded • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities • Confident communicator with a proactive and team-focused approach If this sounds like you, and you meet the above criteria, please apply directly to the advert.
