Accounts Officer Permanent Full Time The Accounts Officers provide Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general financial reporting and administrative support to the Corporate Services and broader CBS teams, CBS clients, contractors and suppliers. The role has a strong focus on customer service and issues resolution for internal and external stakeholders. Core Responsibilities Responsible for the provision of effective and efficient processing of the CBS Accounts Payable (AP) requirements including: Entering invoice information with exceptional accuracy into the business system according to identified procedures Ensure invoices are directed to the relevant internal stakeholders, and are processed upon approval, within the required timeframes Regularly monitor invoice due dates and supplier payment terms to ensure invoices are always paid in a timely manner Process weekly invoice payments according to the Delegations Policy and ensuring the relevant checks and balances are in place so the funds transfers occur, and suppliers are successfully paid. Responsible for the provision of effective and efficient processing of the CBS Accounts Receivable (AR) requirements including: Ensure billing and claiming are finalised, approved and uploaded to the relevant systems in a timely manner (such as the NDIS and Aged Care portals) Work collaboratively with other teams to identify the root cause of processing errors, problem solve to identify solutions, resolve identified errors and implement ongoing solutions Issue invoices and statements, and follow-up on outstanding debts, in line with CBS policies and procedures Provide support and guidance to other teams in relation to billing, system and funder requirements Identify, investigate and resolve errors and irregularities and ensure stakeholders are kept informed; and Process client receipts and reconcile AR clearing accounts monthly. Support and contribute to other financial and administrative responsibilities of the Corporate Services team including; customer service, general administration, identifying opportunities for improvement and actively contributing to a professional team.
