6 Month Temporary Contract ASAP Start Full-time or 0.8 FTE Experienced Payroll Specialist required for a 6‑month contract, based in the Hobart CBD. Your new company A well-established, large and complex organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This role has been created to provide hands-on payroll support, with a strong focus on data remediation and long service leave remediation calculations. Based in the Hobart CBD, this opportunity will suit an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working through complex historical data and applying detailed, line-by-line calculations to resolve payroll issues. Your new role You will be responsible for: End-to-end payroll processing support within a complex environment Investigating and resolving payroll data issues Performing long service leave, remediation and redundancy calculations Working through fragmented or incomplete payroll data, applying detailed line-by-line calculations Supporting remediation payments and corrections in line with legislative and award requirements Liaising with internal stakeholders to validate payroll data and outcomes Ensuring accuracy, compliance and attention to detail across all payroll outcomes What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced payroll professional with: Strong hands-on payroll processing experience in a medium to large organisation Demonstrated experience with payroll remediation Proven ability to work through complex or incomplete historical payroll data Experience calculating long service leave entitlements and remediation High attention to detail and strong numeracy skills A methodical, analytical approach to problem solving WWVP is a must What you'll get in return Competitive hourly rate Flexible working arrangement: full-time or 0.8 FTE Central Hobart CBD location Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful payroll remediation project within a large organisation What you need to do now If this sounds like the right role for you, click 'Apply Now'.
