About the Role Reporting to the Principal Legal Officer, you will provide advice and representation across a range of community‑focused legal matters, including: Family Law Family Violence Restraining Orders Child Protection Criminal Injuries Compensation Related civil and community law matters You will work collaboratively with legal and non‑legal staff while also managing your own caseload. The role includes court work, mediation, duty lawyer services and community legal education. What We’re Looking For We’re keen to hear from solicitors who: Are admitted to practice in Western Australia with a current practising certificate Have experience (or strong interest) in family law, child protection, FVROs or similar areas Communicate clearly, respectfully and confidently Can work effectively with Aboriginal clients and communities Value teamwork, cultural responsiveness and social justice Are willing to travel regionally when required What We Offer 5 weeks annual leave Salary packaging up to $15,899 per year Free EAP and access to an internal counsellor Cultural Awareness Training Supportive, values‑driven workplace Centrally located Perth office with free or nearby parking Our Commitment AFLS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
