Granich Partners is seeking a capable and motivated Litigation Lawyer to join our growing practice. Granich Partners began in 1976 in Merredin. Since then, Granich Partners have acted for many individuals and small businesses, including farmers in both the metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia. This role will suit a lawyer with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a practical approach to resolving disputes. The successful candidate will work across a broad range of litigation and dispute resolution matters, relating to trusts, equity, Wills and estates, succession, agribusiness related disputes and mining compensation claims. The Role: The role will involve: Managing litigation files autonomously; Drafting pleadings, affidavits, submissions, correspondence, advice and other court documents; Appearing in or assisting with appearances in the District Court, Supreme Court and relevant tribunals; Briefing and instructing counsel; Conducting legal research and preparing strategic advice; Liaising with clients, witnesses, experts and other practitioners; and Assisting with settlement negotiations, including mediations. About You: The successful candidate will have: Admission as a legal practitioner in Western Australia; At least three years’ post-admission experience in litigation and dispute resolution; Strong drafting, research and advocacy skills; Excellent attention to detail and time management skills; The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines; Sound knowledge of court rules, litigation procedure and case management principles; Confidence in dealing directly with clients.
