The Role In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex legacy systems and a cutting-edge GCP environment. Your primary focus is the architecture, design, and implementation of an ODS that facilitates near real-time data integration for downstream consumption. Key Responsibilities ODS Strategy: Design and oversee the implementation of an Operational Data Store on GCP, ensuring high availability and low latency. Pipeline Engineering: Architect robust Change Data Capture (CDC) and streaming pipelines using Pub/Sub and Dataflow . Storage Selection: Evaluate and implement optimal storage solutions across Cloud Spanner , BigTable , and BigQuery . Stakeholder Influence: Represent the consulting firm as a technical SME, guiding enterprise-level clients through complex architectural trade-offs. Security & Governance: Ensure all data architecture adheres to strict regulatory standards through VPC Service Controls and IAM best practices. Technical Requirements GCP Expertise: Professional-level experience across the Google Cloud stack (Professional Architect certification preferred).
