Role Overview: The Senior Electrical Engineer is a leadership role responsible for providing technical excellence, strategic direction, and project delivery oversight across electrical engineering disciplines. This role plays a critical part in strengthening RASP’s power engineering capability, supporting major infrastructure projects, and mentoring emerging Indigenous engineering talent. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Lead the design, review, and delivery of electrical engineering solutions across HV, MV, and LV systems Provide subject matter expertise in power systems, distribution networks, and infrastructure projects Ensure compliance with Australian standards, client specifications, and safety requirements Approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation Project Delivery: Oversee multiple projects from concept through to commissioning Support project planning, budgeting, and risk management Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery Provide technical input into tenders and proposals Strategic Contribution: Support RASP’s growth strategy in power engineering, government, and infrastructure sectors Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and improve project profitability Contribute to innovation, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives People Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and develop engineers, graduates, and trainees within the ADAPT program Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence Support workforce development with a focus on Indigenous capability building Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships Represent RASP in technical discussions, design reviews, and industry forums Collaborate across subsidiaries within Red Invest Capital Holdings Key Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or working towards RPEQ (or ability to obtain) highly regarded Experience: 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering, ideally within power, mining, or infrastructure sectors Proven experience in HV/LV design, power systems studies, and project delivery Demonstrated leadership experience in senior engineering roles Technical Skills: Power system analysis (ETAP, Power Factory, or similar) Electrical design and engineering standards (AS/NZS) Protection and control systems Renewable and microgrid experience (desirable) Leadership & Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and mentoring capability Commercial acumen and strategic thinking Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Alignment with RASP’s Indigenous values and community focus What We Offer: Opportunity to lead impactful projects across Australia Career progression within a growing Indigenous-owned group Involvement in meaningful Indigenous training and development initiatives Competitive salary and flexible working arrangements If site travel is required there is a 30% uplift on site hours Our Values: At RASP Australia, we are guided by: Integrity – We do what we say Excellence – We deliver quality outcomes Respect – We value people, culture, and community Opportunity – We create pathways for Indigenous participation Collaboration – We succeed together Submit your application today by clicking APPLY NOWResume must have TWO contactable references* Must have full rights to work in Australia We strongly encourage applications from people of all genders, Indigenous backgrounds, and members of the LGBTIQA community.
