About the Role Contract Resources is entering another major year of growth and is seeking experienced and safety-focused Alimak Operators to support a major shutdown in Lytton, QLD. Alimak Operators play a critical role in supporting shutdown operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of personnel and equipment in high-risk industrial environments. Working closely with various specialised technicians and crews, you will contribute to the successful delivery of shutdown activities while maintaining the highest safety and operational standards across all CR & client sites. This role is ideal for candidates seeking shutdown work without FIFO travel, allowing you to be home every night. Mobilisation for this project is scheduled to commence in July 2026 and will continue through to project completion. To be successful in progressing, you must meet the requirements outlined below. Duties will include but not be limited to Operating Alimak hoists in accordance with site procedures, legislation, and safety requirements Conducting pre-start inspections, routine checks, and reporting maintenance concerns or defects Safely transporting personnel, tools, and equipment throughout shutdown operations Maintaining clear communication with work crews, supervisors, and other site personnel during operations Assisting shutdown crews with general site support and operational requirements where required Performing work in and around high-risk industrial environments, including working at heights and confined space areas Strictly adhering to Work Health & Safety procedures, including participation in JSAs, SWMS, Take 5s, and other safety documentation Demonstrating strong situational awareness and maintaining a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk management Contributing to a positive team environment and strong safety culture across all shutdown activities Requirements & Experience Needed Proven experience operating a Alimak/Personal Material Hoist within shutdown, construction, mining, or heavy industrial environments Hold a valid Personnel & Materials Hoist Operator licence (essential) Live within a 60 km radius of Lytton, QLD Ability to work shift work (Day/Night/Weekends) Construction White Card (essential) Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential) Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years - essential) Gas Test Atmosphere certificate (within 2 years – essential) Breathing Apparatus certificate (Highly desirable) High-Pressure Water Jetting Ticket: Operator or Assistant (desirable) Vacuum Loading Operations (Desirable) Current Drivers Licence (HR/HC/MC - desirable) High Risk Work License – LF/Dogman/Rigger (advantageous) Full Australian work rights How to apply If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding role with a dynamic, growing organisation, please select the ‘Apply Now’ button to submit your application.
