We now have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Development Analyst to join our Capital Markets & Corporate Development team in our Sydney or Melbourne office on a permanent full-time basis. You will play a key role in supporting the identification and assessment of inorganic growth opportunities, and execution of transactions across APA’s portfolio that support the continued growth of APA and deliver tangible value to APA’s stakeholders including customers, communities it serves and securityholders. You will work in a commercially focused environment where you will contribute to strategic and financial outcomes within a leading ASX-listed organisation. Key Responsibilities Support the end-to-end M&A transaction process including valuation, due diligence, coordination of work streams spanning various teams and functions across the business, preparation of transaction related documents, and liaising with external advisers Assist in the preparation of high quality, detailed qualitative and quantitative presentations, reports, and recommendations on transaction opportunities for senior Executives, governance forums and the Board Undertake financial modelling and valuation analysis to evaluate potential transaction opportunities Monitor market trends and industry developments to assist with identification of potential acquisition and business development opportunities Your Background Experience within Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Big 4 Deals / Infrastructure Advisory, Private Equity, Infrastructure Investing or a similar transaction focused environment is highly regarded Demonstrated experience supporting M&A, divestment or strategic investment transactions Infrastructure / utilities / energy industry knowledge Strong financial literacy with a keen eye for detail as well as proven capability in financial analysis, valuation and building and maintaining financial models to support investment decisions Well-developed commercial acumen, with the ability to understand business drivers, assess risks and interpret financial outcomes in a practical, decision-oriented way Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams Collaborative and proactive approach, with an ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment, demonstrating curiosity, initiative and adaptability while managing competing priorities and deadlines Working at APA At APA, we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
