About the role We're looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer who brings technical depth and genuine people skills in equal measure. This is a fully office-based, customer-facing role — you'll be on-site with clients and in our office daily, so we're looking for someone who lives reasonably close to out Darch office and values the energy of working alongside a great team in person. You'll engage directly with customers, lead projects across modern office, M365, and cybersecurity domains, and help your team deliver exceptional outcomes. What you'll be doing Engaging with customers on-site and in the office to understand their requirements and design tailored IT solutions Leading and delivering projects across modern workplace, Microsoft 365, and cybersecurity Administering and optimising RMM toolsets and PSA management systems to drive service quality Managing and configuring our security stack — including WatchGuard, SentinelOne, Barracuda, ThreatLocker, and Keeper Resolving complex, escalated support issues with a calm and empathetic approach Delegating effectively and enabling team members to contribute confidently to shared projects Producing clear documentation, reports, and communications for both technical and non-technical audiences Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement What we're looking for 5 years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, or a managed services environment Based in Perth or the surrounding area — this is a fully office-based role with regular on-site client visits Hands-on experience with RMM toolsets (e.g. NinjaRMM, ConnectWise Automate, Datto RMM) — required Experience with PSA systems (e.g. ConnectWise Manage, Autotask, HaloPSA) — required Strong Microsoft 365 platform skills — administration, migration, security, and modern workplace deployment Familiarity with our security stack or similar products: WatchGuard, SentinelOne, Barracuda, ThreatLocker, and Keeper Solid grasp of cybersecurity principles — MFA, EDR, conditional access, application control, and compliance Proven ability to understand customer requirements and craft solutions that genuinely address their needs Excellent verbal and written communication skills — clear, professional, and confident at all levels Genuine empathy for customer issues, with a patient and solutions-focused mindset Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and empower colleagues to deliver on shared projects A genuine desire to keep learning and growing — we invest in people who invest in themselves Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA Security, ITIL, WatchGuard) highly regarded
