A position is now available for a talented and experienced Chef Specialized in Italian Cuisine to join our dynamic team and contribute to our tradition of excellence. About the Role: We are seeking an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident who is a Chef specialized in Italian cuisine to manage and enhance our offerings, particularly our pastas, pizzas, and salads. This is a 40 hours per week full-time position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant environment, bringing creativity and expertise to our kitchen. Job Main Tasks: - Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and presented beautifully; - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations; - Collaborate with Management and kitchen team to create new menu items and seasonal specials; - Monitor inventory and order supplies as required; - Train and supervise junior kitchen staff; - Prepare and cook a variety of Italian dishes, with a focus on pastas, pizzas, and salads; Job Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency; - Cost control; - Ensure quality control by maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation; - Implement and maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols; - Innovate and contribute to menu development; - Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies; - Provide training and guidance to junior chefs and kitchen staff; - Make sure pastas, pizzas, salads and other menu items are prepared at their best; Skills and Experience Required for the Role: - At least two years of experience in a similar role; - Strong knowledge and expertise in Italian cuisine, particularly, pastas pizzas, and salads; - Excellent organizational and leadership skills; - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; - Good communication and teamwork skills; What's on Offer: - A tasty employment, really; - A permanent full-time (40hrs p. week) position; - A competitive salary of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation; - Opportunity to work in a highly regarded restaurant with a passionate team; - A supportive and collaborative work environment; - Opportunities for professional development and career advancement; - The chance to bring your creativity and passion for Italian cuisine to a dedicated customer base;
