The Role Reporting to the Executive Chef, we are seeking passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our dynamic UMA kitchen team. As an integral part of the brigade, you will support the delivery of exceptional dining experiences through precise preparation, attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. In this role, you will: Prepare, cook and present dishes in accordance with the established menu and recipes. Produce and organise mise en place for all menu items, daily specials and any special requests as directed by the Chef in charge. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in all fridges and freezers, assisting with daily stock rotation. Assist & follow standards of presentation, quality and portion control in line with the outlet menu presentation folder, recipes and guidelines given by the chef in charge. About You You’re an enthusiastic and motivated chef with a strong passion for food, eager to learn and grow in a fine dining environment. You take pride in your craft and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or above. 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a fine dining or premium restaurant. A strong work ethic, positive attitude and genuine love for cooking. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Benefits Discounted staff parking.
