Irrigation Sales & Design Consultant Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies Full-Time | Growth Role Newtons Building & Landscape Supplies is a well-established South Australian business experiencing strong growth across our irrigation, plumbing and pump divisions. We’re looking for a motivated and technically minded team member to join our Water Solutions team in a sales and design capacity. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on industry experience who is ready to step into a more customer-focused, long-term career path—with the opportunity to develop into irrigation design and project-based sales. About the Role Reporting to the Water Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for a mix of customer service, sales, and irrigation system support, including: Assisting trade and retail customers with irrigation, plumbing and pump product selection Preparing quotes, processing orders and following up leads Providing practical, real-world technical advice based on site requirements Supporting or developing irrigation system designs (residential, commercial, agricultural) Interpreting plans and preparing basic layouts and materials lists Working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment Maintaining showroom and yard presentation and stock levels Contributing to continuous improvement of irrigation sales and design processes About You This role can suit someone stepping up from the field or someone with existing design/sales experience. You will ideally have: Experience in irrigation, plumbing, landscaping or a related trade A solid understanding of pumps, pipe systems, fittings and irrigation fundamentals Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers The ability to read plans or a willingness to learn Good organisation and time management skills A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow Experience with irrigation design or quoting software is highly regarded but not essential.
