We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team. About the role This is a pivotal leadership position for someone who has earned their stripes on the tools and is ready to step into a role that combines hands-on technical oversight with team leadership and operational coordination. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be the engine room of our maintenance division — guiding our technicians and schedulers from both the office and the field. You will own the quality and compliance of our maintenance delivery, act as the primary escalation point for your team, and work closely with management to continuously raise the bar. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians and schedulers Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for field staff throughout the working day Support the ongoing training, development, and performance of your team Foster a positive team culture grounded in accountability, safety, and continuous improvement Operations & Scheduling Coordinate and oversee daily scheduling of maintenance and inspection works Monitor workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, on time, and to the required standard Manage maintenance-related stock, equipment, and resource allocation Support management with operational planning and process improvement initiatives Quality & Compliance Conduct quality checks and field inspections to verify work meets Australian Standards Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and company procedures Identify and address non-conformances, providing practical guidance to technicians Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance reporting Client & Stakeholder Engagement Liaise professionally with clients regarding service delivery, scheduling, and maintenance requirements Serve as a key interface between the field team, management, and clients Handle site-related issues and escalations with a solutions-focused approach Essential Hands-on background as a fire services maintenance technician (time on the tools is a must) Demonstrated experience in a supervisory, team leader, or coordination role Solid knowledge of fire services, preventative maintenance, and relevant Australian Standards Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills High attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality and safety Desirable Experience mentoring or developing junior technicians Familiarity with job management system Uptick
