This newly created role will play a critical part in supporting major project delivery by strengthening contract administration, procurement and commercial management across large-scale projects. The Role As a Contracts Administrator, you will support the successful delivery of large-scale projects by managing procurement, contract administration and commercial processes from project award through to close-out. Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams, you’ll ensure contracts, variations, procurement and claims are administered accurately and on time - protecting margin and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the commercial detail that keeps projects running smoothly and successfully. What You'll Be Responsible For Managing subcontract procurement, scopes and purchase orders Administering head contract obligations, notices, variations and claims Maintaining accurate variation registers and cost tracking Supporting or leading weekly budget checks and forecasting Prioritising key commercial actions to keep projects moving Ensuring documentation is organised, compliant and audit-ready Supporting clean project close-outs including final accounts and Deeds of Release What Great Looks Like Contracts, claims and variations are accurate and issued on time Procurement is disciplined and aligned to margin targets Head contract obligations are clearly understood and tracked Budget checks are reliable and forward-looking Commercial risks are identified early and managed proactively Subcontractors experience clear, professional communication Projects close out cleanly with minimal rework Who This Role Suits You’re commercially minded, structured and calm in how you work. You know how to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy, and you take pride in keeping things organised and under control.
