ECDD AML Analyst Location: Australia Length: 12 month fixed term contract We are partnering with a highly regarded professional services organisation seeking an experienced CDD / ECDD Analyst to join their growing Financial Crime team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys investigative work, stakeholder engagement, and working within a fast paced regulatory environment. The role will support ongoing AML/CTF compliance obligations, enhanced due diligence activities, and financial crime risk management across a broad client base. Key responsibilities • Manage CDD and ECDD cases from initial review through to completion • Review and assess alerts, triggers, and system-generated warnings • Conduct enhanced due diligence and investigate potential financial crime risks • Prepare clear and well-structured case notes, findings, and recommendations • Review and resolve false positives in line with internal frameworks and regulatory obligations • Support ongoing due diligence, periodic reviews, and remediation activities • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with AML/CTF obligations and internal policies • Assist with risk assessments and escalation of higher-risk matters where required Key experience required • Proven experience within CDD, ECDD, AML, or Financial Crime environments • Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations and regulatory requirements • Experience using First AML or similar case management / onboarding platforms • Experience reviewing alerts, investigating risk indicators, and handling false positives • Strong analytical and investigative capability with excellent attention to detail • Ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities in a fast paced environment • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce high quality case documentation This role would suit someone coming from financial services, legal, consulting, or professional services environments who enjoys working within complex compliance and risk frameworks.
