This role is integral to ensuring the smooth running of payroll operations, delivering accurate employee payments while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. Working within a collaborative finance team, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, reporting, compliance obligations and supporting broader payroll projects and process improvements. Are you a… Detail-oriented Payroll Officer with a strong understanding of payroll legislation and systems? Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy? If so, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-established finance function within a professional services environment. Who will they be supporting? You will work within the Finance team and report directly to the Financial Controller, while collaborating closely with HR and other internal stakeholders across the business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be Managing the end-to-end payroll process across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely payments. You will maintain payroll records, respond to payroll queries and ensure compliance with payroll legislation, including PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and relevant awards. You will also prepare payroll reporting, assist with month-end and annual reconciliations, manage employee lifecycle payroll processes such as new starters, salary changes and terminations, and support reporting for benchmarking and headcount analysis. The role will also contribute to ongoing process improvements and payroll-related projects.
