Job Description About the Opportunity This is a rare opportunity to join the bar team at one of Melbourne's most exciting newly opened hospitality venues, Flores. Situated in Refinery Groups' flagship venue - The Angel of Malvern , Flores is a Mediterranean-inspired vibrant neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar inspired by the lively hospitality culture of Barcelona, Lisbon and Madrid. Working alongside senior bartenders and venue management, you’ll play a vital role in delivering consistent, high-quality beverages that reflect the relaxed yet vibrant energy of Flores. You’ll be part of a team that values craftmanship, efficiency, and genuine connections with guests. We're looking for passionate bartenders with strong work ethic, a love for crafting great drinks, and a team-first mindset. What You’ll Do As a Bartender, you’ll be responsible for creating outstanding bar experiences by: Delivering warm, engaging and professional service at the bar Preparing and serving cocktails, spirits, wine and beer to a high standard Confidently recommending drinks and guiding guests through the beverage offering Maintaining speed, accuracy and calm during busy service periods Managing bar setup, stock levels and clean-down procedures Ensuring all RSA and venue safety standards are upheld at all times Handling payments accurately, including cash and EFTPOS transactions Supporting floor service and functions when required Maintaining exceptional presentation, cleanliness and organisation behind the bar Working closely with the wider FOH and BOH teams to deliver seamless service Contributing to a positive, inclusive and professional team culture About You You’re confident behind the bar, love engaging with guests and take pride in your craft. You bring energy, professionalism and a genuine passion for hospitality to every shift. You’ll also have: Previous bartending or bar FOH experience (essential) Strong product knowledge or a keen interest in cocktails, spirits, wine and beer Excellent communication and customer service skills The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and pride in presentation and consistency Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (essential) A team-first mindset and willingness to learn and grow Flexible availability to work nights and weekends If you thrive in busy, energetic venues and love perfecting your craft, you’ll feel right at home.
