See more at our website - http://atsichsbrisbane.org.au Description About the Role The Finance Officer position will complete the finance administrative functions, including transaction entry, reconciliation, compliance, payroll, reporting with commentary, review, and analysis. The position is accountable for delivering efficient, accurate and reliable transaction processing to support the effective operation of business units. Click here to view position description Duties Process and record accounts receivable transactions including general ledger and associated program allocation. Ensuring timely debtor/creditor payments in accordance with payment terms and conditions, promptly resolving any discrepancies that arise. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Accounting System through accurate and timely transaction processing. Use financial data systems and documented processes in the reconciliation of cash book and petty cash reimbursements. Assist with the completion of month end reporting including reconciliations, journal entries and creation of supporting working papers. Regularly assess accounts receivable/payable processes to identify potential financial risks, such as errors in invoicing, non-compliance with tax regulations, or fraudulent activities. Ensure compliance with and adhere to ATSICHS Finance policies and procedures. Assist and support Finance administrator with processing of Accounts receivable/payable duties in accordance with finance policy and procedures. Skills And Experiences Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping; or bachelor's degree in commerce, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline. Minimum three (3) years' experience as a finance officer in a similar organisation. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. Accuracy and attention to detail when managing accounting figures and financial records. The ability to manage multiple competing demands and deadlines while delivering accurate and consistent work within a high-volume environment. Experience in using financial management software and reporting tools and proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite. Desirable Experience coordinating the accounts receivable/payable functions within a large not for profit organisation or community services sector. Previous experience in WIISE/Care Systems/Kidsoft/Brevity/Property ME. Previous experience with SharePoint and Microsoft 365. Additional Requirements National Police Certificate. Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply. Driver's Licence. Evidence of Work Rights. Travel between work sites on a regular basis.
