Systems Engineer Sydney based - Hybrid working options available We're partnering with a national organisation that operates a diverse portfolio of businesses across Australia. With continued growth and investment, they're looking to bring in a Systems Engineer to strengthen their infrastructure capability. This is a key role within the team which is suited to someone who enjoys a mix of BAU and project work, and wants to play a hands-on role in modernising environments while supporting critical day-to-day operations. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the stability of existing systems while contributing to the organisation's IT/Cloud strategy. Responsibilities include: Support and maintain core IT infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, resolving them efficiently and effectively Contribute to the design, implementation, and migration of cloud solutions (Azure or AWS) Maintain and enhance existing systems to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability Monitor system performance and usage, providing insights and recommendations to leadership Support BAU operations while also contributing to ongoing and upcoming project work Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring delivery against SLAs Play a key role in strengthening the organisation's cloud capability and long-term strategy Experience required: Strong background in IT operations and infrastructure support, with the ability to handle escalations confidently Hands-on experience with cloud design, implementation, and migration (Azure or AWS) Solid experience supporting on-premise infrastructure alongside cloud environments Strong working knowledge of Linux systems Experience managing and working with third-party vendors and service providers Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders If you are interested in the role, please apply today for more information!
