We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable professional to join our team on a Full time, 6-month maximum term contract. This hybrid role combines hands-on payroll processing with involvement in system-related initiatives, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both operational and technical work, with a strong focus on payroll compliance. About the Role In this role, you will support end-to-end payroll activities while ensuring strict adherence to legislative, award, and organisational compliance requirements. You will also contribute to system migration and optimisation projects, working closely with both Payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate processing and seamless system functionality. Key Responsibilities Provide active support throughout the payroll and workforce management system migration process, contributing to a seamless and accurate transition. Assist with end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant legislation and awards Maintain a strong focus on payroll compliance, including interpretation and application of awards, EBA’s, and statutory obligations Support payroll system maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement Assist with system testing, validation, and data integrity checks Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve Collaborative and supportive team environment About You Previous experience in payroll processing with a strong understanding of payroll compliance requirements Demonstrated experience interpreting awards, EBA’s, and relevant legislation Strong Exposure to system implementations or migrations within payroll or workforce management Strong technical aptitude with payroll and/or workforce management systems High attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience with UKG Ready and Payroll Metrics are highly desirable Experience in process improvement or system optimisation initiatives What’s on Offer Join a professional, collaborative and supportive team environment Opportunity to be part of a system transformation project Exposure to both operational payroll and technical system initiatives Working from a new, modern office with excellent facilities Competitive remuneration aligned to experience We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
