Your opportunity As the HR Payroll Systems and Projects Officer , you will support the People Services Manager and Payroll team by leading and contributing to payroll‑related systems, integrations and projects. You will act as a subject matter expert across payroll systems, ensuring compliance with legislation, system accuracy and continuous improvement across processes. Working closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT and operational stakeholders, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands‑on payroll systems expertise with project work in a complex, high‑volume environment. With integrity and care, you will: Support accurate and timely payroll processing in line with legislation, industrial instruments and organisational procedures Act as subject matter expert for payroll‑related systems, including Chris21 and Workday (Absence, Time and Compensation) Maintain and update payroll system configuration in response to legislative and policy changes Monitor system upgrades, participate in UAT, and respond to system integration issues Lead and contribute to payroll‑related projects, ensuring risks and impacts are well understood Coordinate and resolve payroll system issues in partnership with IT and relevant stakeholders Contribute to the development, documentation and improvement of payroll processes and work instructions Support training, coaching and knowledge‑sharing within the payroll function What you’ll bring You are a detail‑driven and collaborative payroll systems professional who thrives in complex environments and values accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement. You enjoy working as a trusted SME and supporting teams through change. You will also bring: Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll systems support Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, payroll processes and time & attendance systems Proven experience working with Chris21 (essential) and Workday (strongly desirable) Demonstrated project experience within payroll or HR systems environments Experience with process improvement and system configuration Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑volume, complex environment Why Anglicare?
