As a Cash Allocations Officer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the financial engine running smoothly. By accurately allocating customer payments and maintaining clean ledgers, you’ll directly support cash flow, enable effective collections, and prevent downstream disputes. Your attention to detail and problem‑solving skills will help ensure our finance systems reflect accurate, timely, and reliable data, supporting both operational decision‑making and financial reporting. About the Role This is a detail‑focused role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and structured processes. Reporting to the Collections Team Leader , you’ll be responsible for allocating incoming payments, resolving discrepancies, and working closely with Collections Officers, Finance, and customers to resolve issues quickly and accurately. What You’ll Be Doing Cash Allocation & Reconciliation Allocate daily customer receipts to the correct accounts and invoices Investigate and resolve unallocated cash, short payments, and overpayments Reconcile bank statements, remittances, and system balances Apply adjustments, credits, and reallocations in line with approved processes Disputes & Exceptions Identify allocation discrepancies and support timely resolution Work with Collections Officers to resolve payment issues Liaise with customers to clarify remittance information when needed Escalate complex or high‑risk items to the Collections Team Leader Systems & Reporting Use finance and collections systems accurately and consistently Maintain clear, audit‑ready system notes and documentation Support month‑end processes, reconciliations, and reporting Monitor allocation backlogs and flag emerging issues Team & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with Collections Officers to support effective debt recovery Collaborate with Finance, Credit, and internal stakeholders Contribute to a professional, reliable, and supportive team environment About You You’re methodical, detail‑driven, and confident working with numbers — someone who takes pride in getting things right the first time.
