Your Team: Market Operations sits within the Markets Line of Business and consists of Trading Operations, Clearing Operations, Market Announcement and Market Surveillance. Our team manages the ASX Trade and ASX 24 markets 24 hour team, ensuring we are meeting our licence obligations while providing support to market participants, regulators and internal stakeholders. The Markets LoB has primary accountability for ASX and ASX 24 Markets licenses, ASX Clear (Futures) and ASX Clear (ETO's) license and the Benchmark administrator license. Your responsibilities: Facilitate fair, orderly and transparent markets across the ASX trading environments, monitoring activity in relation to operating rules/procedures and supporting market participants Day to day management of the team ensuring the resolution and response to Trading Operations issues and queries raised by internal and external customers, with a strong focus on meeting regulatory requirements and championing the customer. Lead the team providing support and direction to staff including performance feedback and mentoring ensuring compliance with ASX Policies Responsible for leading incident management in the team and working with internal and external stakeholders to manage and resolve operational issues Manage customer readiness of new products and client onboarding Responsible for resource allocation, and rotations to support a stable and effective operational environment across the hybrid working environment Responsible for monitoring and updating operational procedures and risk controls and meet internal and external audit requirements Manage the operationalisation of new products and services or technology upgrades to improve client service ensuring positive outcomes for Operations Help manage external user test environments including system maintenance, resolving technical issues, system accreditations, and user acceptance testing for upgrades Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for Trading Operations Collaborate as a key business stakeholder for core systems for issue resolution, scheduled maintenance, upgrades and technical issues Engage and service a diverse range of stakeholders inclusive of brokers, system vendors, and lead the identification and implementation of process improvements to reduce operational risk, enhance the customer experience and continue to build resilience in the team Be familiar with and ready to execute ASX’s BCP emergency procedures Your experience and qualifications: Must have Previous experience leading a team in a fast paced deadline driven operational environment Excellent written and verbal skills Experience leading a customer facing team offering exceptional service Report writing for senior management / Boards with content focused on operational analysis and commentary Extensive knowledge of the Australian Financial Markets and related products, including listed products, governing rules and market operations Exposure to Financial Markets in a broking or market operations environment Can make decisions and apply critical thinking in high intensity situations and remain calm under pressure Strategic thinking and strong collaboration skills, engaging with a broad range of stakeholders Nice to have: Report writing for senior management with content focussed on operational analysis and commentary Experience with project implementation Knowledge of ASX Trading, Clearing and Settlement internal systems and processes Knowledge of the integrated ASX and ASX24 environments both technically and operationally We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values.
