Seeking an experienced Network Architect that has worked in large enterprise and OT environments. Your new company We are partnering with an industry leading IT Services provider. If you are a Network Architect with experience designing and delivering secure, scalable network design solutions across enterprise IT and OT environments, then this is for you. The successful candidate will be offered an initial 6-12-month contract, commencing ASAP. Offering a flexible work model with 3 days on-site from their Melbourne CBD location. Your technical skill set will allow for the delivery of large-scale modernisation and digital utility programs. With the current free PTV, what more could you ask for? Your new role For this IT & OT Network Architecture contract position, you will: Define and lead target state IT/OT network architectures supporting energy distribution operations, spanning control centres, substations, and field communications networks. Design secure, resilient, and segmented network solutions aligned with industrial cybersecurity standards and Zero Trust principles. Provide architectural leadership across IT/OT convergence and modernisation programs, guiding stakeholders through complex transformation initiatives Develop integration patterns between OT environments and enterprise or cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) to enable analytics, digital grid capabilities, and secure data exchange Collaborate closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and engineering teams to embed security, resilience, and compliance into network designs from initial concept through implementation. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you'll need to have: Essential: Demonstrated experience designing IT and OT network architectures within energy, utilities, or other critical infrastructure environments. Strong expertise in IT/OT convergence, including SCADA networks, substation communications, and industrial control environments. Proven experience designing secure industrial network architectures, including segmentation and defence in-depth approaches. Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture and its application across both IT and OT domains. Ability to engage and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and client leadership.
