There is a requirement for an Architect to join a small architecture studio based in the heart of Melbourne, delivering projects across Australia. Their work spans industrial & commercial developments with a strong emphasis on smart planning, commercial outcomes, and efficient design delivery. We are looking for a capable and motivated Architect to join our team and play a key role across the early design stages of projects —from early feasibility through to planning approvals. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working at pace and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously. You will be involved in early-stage feasibility studies, master planning, and concept design, while also managing and navigating the town planning process. Key Responsibilities Prepare feasibility studies and site assessments Develop master plans and concept designs for industrial and commercial projects Manage and coordinate town planning submissions and approvals Design efficient site layouts, including: Truck circulation and loading requirements Car parking layouts and compliance Industrial planning constraints and regulations Work closely with clients to produce clear, compelling design outcomes Produce quick-turnaround concepts and presentation material Prepare basic renders and visualisations to support client presentations Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to keep projects moving Skills & Experience Proficiency in Revit (essential) Experience in industrial and/or big box retail projects Strong understanding of feasibility, planning controls, and site planning Demonstrated experience managing the town planning process Ability to design practical, compliant layouts for industrial developments Strong concept design skills with the ability to work quickly and efficiently Basic rendering/visualisation capability (advantageous) Excellent communication and time management skills About You Mid to Senior Architect (Registration advantageous) You are proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment You enjoy taking ownership of projects and seeing them through early stages You have a practical mindset and understand the commercial drivers behind design You can balance speed with accuracy and attention to detail What We Offer A small, collaborative studio environment Exposure to projects across Australia Opportunity to work across all early project stages Autonomy and responsibility within a supportive team If you’re an Architect who enjoys shaping projects from the ground up and thrives in a dynamic studio setting, we’d love to hear from you.
