This is a highly collaborative position involving regular face-to-face workshops and close team interaction, making in-office presence essential. What’s the role? As a Lead Business Analyst, you will partner closely with stakeholders to understand, analyse, and clearly define requirements for changes to business products, processes, policies, data, and systems, ensuring alignment to Westpac’s strategic objectives and business needs. In this people leader role you’ll lead, coach and motivate delivery teams thorough complex migrations. You will also drive and champion the effective use of AI across the BA community. Additionally, you will manage requirements through the full delivery lifecycle, providing clear recommendations that support effective business solutions and deliver measurable value. You will ensure consistency and quality across deliverables that contribute across multiple streams of work. What do I need? Proven experience as a Lead Business Analyst, including leading and coordinating work across a BA team Previous people management experience Experience delivering data migration initiatives within large, complex organisations, ideally in banking or financial services Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance competing needs while staying within agreed scope Highly collaborative, able to work effectively across teams and initiatives to ensure alignment and clarity of outcomes Demonstrated analytical and logical thinking, with the ability to plan ahead and solve complex problems with practical solutions Strong understanding of project management disciplines, technology, and business systems, enabling delivery of high‑quality, value‑driven outcomes Ability to coach and develop team members on adopting industry best practices related to Business Analyst work Why join us?
