Parliamentary Officer (Chamber Support) - Department of the Legislative Assembly Fixed-term, full-time position (until 31 March 2027) PoV Grade 3.2, $89,292 - $96,073 plus 12% superannuation About the team The Procedure Office provides support to the Chamber and senior officers within the Department and is responsible for answering public and procedural inquiries from the Department's customers. About the role The Procedure Office is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to join the team on a fixed-term basis in the role of Parliamentary Officer (Chamber Support). Reporting to the Manager of the Procedure Office, key responsibilities will include: Preparing bills and associated documentation for royal assent and proofreading Acts Preparing sitting day readers for the clerks and Speaker and assisting with the preparation of motions and other House documents Collecting the original papers and undertaking research to provide procedural advice and assistance to the Clerk and other Chamber staff Preparing the Votes and Proceedings and assisting with their proof reading Coordinating historical Votes and Proceedings records and the index The Parliamentary Officer (Chamber Support) works extended hours on a rostered basis on sitting days. This includes starting at 8.00 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and working until approximately 8.00 pm on some Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and less frequently Thursdays, during sitting weeks. Sitting hours can sometimes be unpredictable and on occasions you may be required to work longer.
