About the Role: The Guardianship Support Officer (GSO) oversees the general running of the Advocate Guardian team through the triaging of VCAT orders, responding to enquiries about individual guardianship orders, meeting with represented persons, completing reports for VCAT when required, and undertaking secondary referrals for inform.ation or to progress applications. Some of your duties will include: In consultation with the team leader and other team members, assist in the triage of matters received by the team to enable those matters to be considered for allocation. Making recommendations to the team leader, in respect of any urgent or serious issues arising from files which may require a delegated guardianship decision. Responding to calls from represented persons, families and professionals for matters. To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description. About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Knowledge of the Victorian human services sector, particularly the NDIS, mental illness and aged care service systems. Understanding of the issues relating to disability, including mental illness and age -related disability. Advanced Computer Skills - Understands and applies advanced computer skills to complex word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, or database functions.
