About the Role We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll & Administration Officer to join our client. Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with Finance and Accounts, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our office. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in a busy environment. Key Responsibilities This is an on-site role with set hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Process weekly payroll for ~90 employees (wages & salary) using MYOB AccountRight and Varicon Prepare payroll reports and manage weekly super payments Handle incoming calls and direct enquiries Support the Business Manager in compliance and project documentation, including: Maintaining and updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Managing Dial Before You Dig enquiries Preparing site/project folders Ensuring compliance documents are current General office administration, including: Stationery and consumables ordering Managing office supplies and printers Data entry (timesheets, registers, spreadsheets) Handling deliveries and visitors Weekly office grocery purchasing About You You are organised, proactive, and bring a strong attention to detail. You enjoy working in a team and are comfortable juggling multiple tasks. To be successful, you will have: Experience in Payroll Processing (essential) Experience with MYOB AccountRight (essential) Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Proficient in English with strong communication and literacy skills Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment A flexible, can-do attitude Experience with Varicon or similar civil construction software systems (desirable) Experience in a construction or civil environment (desirable) Current driver’s licence Applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
