Key Responsibilities Junior Financial Lines Claims Specialist Develop foundational understanding of financial lines products including D&O, PI, and ML Support senior team members in maintaining high levels of customer service while applying client principles Learn and maintain regulatory, compliance and education standards Assist with straightforward claims management under guidance, primarily for SME clients Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties Support client advocacy efforts and learn negotiation techniques with local insurers Mid-Level Financial Lines Claims Specialist Demonstrate solid understanding of financial lines products including D&O, PI, ML and other liability classes Independently manage moderate complexity claims while ensuring exceptional customer service Maintain regulatory, compliance and education standards Support junior team members and collaborate effectively with senior colleagues Handle claims with moderate complexity across SME and some mid-tier corporate clients Advocate effectively for clients and negotiate directly with local market insurers and some Lloyd's syndicates Develop expertise in managing claims for growing corporate clients with increasing complexity Senior Financial Lines Claims Specialist Possess deep expertise across all Financial Lines classes and be regarded as a market expert Lead complex and large loss claims, including those with multiple co-insurers Navigate London and overseas insurance markets with confidence Mentor and develop junior staff, taking pride in their professional growth Oversee and direct financial lines claims operations and team members Manage sophisticated claims portfolios including ASX-listed companies and large corporate entities Lead high-stakes client advocacy and complex negotiations with Lloyd's of London syndicates, international insurers, and domestic markets Handle multi-jurisdictional claims involving significant corporate exposures and reputational risks Experience Requirements Junior Level: Financial Lines experience is desirable but not essential. Litigation experience also strongly considered. Interest in insurance and financial services Strong communication and analytical skills Willingness to learn client advocacy and negotiation principles Mid-Level: Minimum 3-5 years claims experience within financial lines or liabilities. (Professional Indemnity, Crime, D&O) Experience in broking, insurer, legal or client environment or private practice. Experience negotiating with insurers and advocating for client interests Exposure to corporate client claims preferred Senior Level: Minimum 7 years specialized claims experience in financial lines (Professional Indemnity, Crime, D&O) Proven track record managing complex losses and team leadership Deep understanding of insurance products.
