The Role We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Administrator to join our team, responsible for the accurate and timely processing of underwriting and insurance-related member transactions. This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality service to members, funds, insurers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring service standards, quality targets, and compliance requirements are consistently met. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will support day‑to‑day underwriting administration while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and team success. Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Process underwriting acceptances, declines, applications, correspondence, and follow‑ups within agreed service standards Maintain high quality outcomes, achieving a minimum 98% quality benchmark Proactively follow up required underwriting documentation with members Update insurance details accurately across systems Liaise with insurers and third parties to finalise insurance coverage Ensure compliance with legislative, financial, and fund‑specific procedures Complete investigations, adjustments, and quality reviews as required Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve enquiries Contribute to system enhancements, process improvements, and team objectives Experience & Personal Attributes Minimum 3 years’ experience in superannuation administration (insurance/underwriting highly regarded) Strong knowledge of superannuation legislation and administrative procedures High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Strong organisational and time‑management skills Confident using Word and Excel Ability to work collaboratively and think laterally RG146 or ASFA qualification desirable .
