As our Claims Delivery & Enablement Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in making that mission real — shaping how insurance claims are delivered, governed and continuously improved across the Fund. This is a highly influential role where your expertise will directly impact claims outcomes, operational excellence, regulatory confidence and, most importantly, the experience of our members when it matters most. You’ll provide technical leadership across end‑to‑end insurance claims and underwriting operations, establish best‑practice quality and enablement frameworks, and drive sustainable uplift across people, process, systems and service delivery. Your work will help ensure Hostplus continues to deliver fair, consistent and compliant outcomes aligned to our values and brand. The opportunity In this specialist role, you will: Own and govern the end‑to‑end Claims Delivery & Enablement framework across all claims and servicing models, driving execution, optimisation and sustainable performance uplift. Ensure regulatory confidence, embedding compliance with Trustee obligations, Trust Deed provisions, SIS legislation and internal policy through strong governance and delivery discipline. Provide senior technical leadership and enablement, supporting consistent, high‑quality and timely claims outcomes across all life insurance products. Lead a data‑driven continuous improvement framework, delivering measurable improvements in decision timeliness, service efficiency, cost‑to‑serve and member experience. Translate strategy into action, leading process, system and capability initiatives that deliver practical, embedded operational outcomes. Oversee performance reporting and insights, uplifting claims metrics at individual, team and business unit level aligned to service standards, KRIs and partner agreements. Deliver actionable insights that support regulatory engagement, strategic decision‑making and execution of the Fund’s insurance and claims strategy. Lead the Insurance Claims Delivery Roadmap, with clear monthly and quarterly delivery cycles and outcomes. Govern training, accreditation and knowledge frameworks, ensuring capability, consistency and scalability across the claims function. Partner effectively with insurers, administrators and internal stakeholders, leading aligned teams to deliver strong service outcomes and sustainable operational performance. About you You’re a respected specialist who thrives in complex environments and knows how to turn strategy into results. You bring: Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are desirable RG146 qualifications AIA qualifications or other insurance related qualifications will be well regarded Demonstrated experience in insurance claims, superannuation and/or administration environments. Proven experience in a relationship and Case Management environment Comprehensive experience in life insurance claims, with demonstrated technical mastery across all claim types. Outstanding leadership skills, with a proven ability to influence outcomes and lead uplift at scale. Deep technical proficiency in life claims assessment and decision‑making. Strong experience operating in case management and relationship‑based environments. A detailed understanding of the superannuation industry, including relevant legislation and regulatory obligations. A proven ability to manage competing priorities, work to tight deadlines and deliver high‑quality outcomes in complex settings. What can we offer you?
