Securcom PTY LTD is seeking a full-time Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our team in Brendale, Queensland. This role is suited to a practical and technically capable field professional who can deliver installation, commissioning, maintenance, fault finding and support services across telecommunications and electronic security systems. The successful candidate will work across client sites and assist in delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes in line with project and service requirements. About the role The Telecommunications Field Engineer will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of telecommunications and associated electronic systems. The role will involve working with structured cabling, network-connected field devices, and integrated technology systems, while maintaining a strong focus on workmanship, safety, and client service. Key responsibilities Install, terminate, test and commission telecommunications cabling and associated field equipment Carry out fault finding, maintenance and repairs on telecommunications and electronic systems Configure, test and support IP-based devices and connected infrastructure Read and interpret drawings, schematics, layouts and technical documentation Complete site testing, commissioning records, service reports and other required documentation Liaise professionally with clients, project teams and internal stakeholders Ensure works are completed in accordance with relevant standards, site requirements and company procedures Assist with project delivery, service works and system upgrades across multiple client sites Skills and experience required Relevant experience in a Telecommunications Field Engineer, Communications Technician, Security Technician, or similar field-based technical role Experience with installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of telecommunications or related electronic systems Ability to work with structured cabling, field devices and IP-connected systems Sound understanding of technical drawings and system documentation Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good verbal and written communication skills Current driver’s licence White Card or ability to obtain one Relevant technical qualifications, licences or industry certifications will be highly regarded What we offer Full-time permanent position Salary of AUD $70,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation, dependent on skills and experience Opportunity to work with a respected Australian business delivering technical field services Supportive team environment Ongoing exposure to varied systems, technologies and client environments About Securcom PTY LTD Securcom PTY LTD delivers technology and field-based solutions across telecommunications, electronic security and related infrastructure environments.
