About the Role As a Senior Data Protection Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in protecting Endeavour Energy’s IT and OT environments. You’ll lead the design, optimisation and operation of data protection controls, respond to complex security incidents, and influence the organisation’s security strategy. This is a hands-on technical role with real impact combining engineering, operations, and strategic input. Key Responsibilities Data Protection & Security Uplift Own and enhance data protection across IT & OT environments Optimise DLP, CASB, endpoint security and data classification controls Identify risks and drive continuous security improvements Security Operations & Incident Response Monitor, investigate and respond to cyber threats and incidents Provide L2/L3 support across security operations Lead response to major data protection and endpoint incidents Cloud & Azure Security Own and secure Azure environments (NSG, UDR, WAF, Conditional Access) Design and implement secure, zero-trust cloud architectures Ensure effective logging, monitoring and alerting via Sentinel Technical Leadership Lead and optimise tools such as Microsoft Purview, Defender and CASB Mentor junior engineers and uplift team capability Stay ahead of emerging threats, technologies and regulatory changes Collaboration & Advisory Partner with IT & OT teams to embed security by design Support compliance with ISO 27001 and AESCSF frameworks Act as a trusted advisor on cyber risk and mitigation strategies About You You’re a technically strong security professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys solving real-world challenges. You’ll bring: 5 years’ experience in Security Operations or Cyber Security Strong expertise across Microsoft security stack (Purview, Defender, Azure) Experience with EDR/XDR, CASB and endpoint protection tools Solid understanding of cloud security and zero-trust principles Knowledge of ISO 27001 (AESCSF desirable) Highly regarded: CISSP or relevant Microsoft / cloud security certifications Why Endeavour Energy?
