About the Opportunity: We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis in Adelaide or Perth. In this role, you'll contribute to critical engineering outcomes across naval platforms, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver safe, practical, and high-quality solutions. You'll play a key role in delivering maritime structural engineering services, including corrosion management, structural analysis, repair design, and technical assurance. This is a hands-on role suited to professionals who enjoy solving complex engineering challenges in regulated environments. What You'll Be Doing: Assessing and managing corrosion in primary and secondary structural components Performing structural analyses, including shock, strength, and stability assessments in naval environments Developing and implementing structural repair solutions, including welded repairs Producing clear, practical engineering instructions for production and maintenance teams Supporting technical assurance activities across maritime programs Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders What We're Looking For: Experience in structural engineering, ideally within Defence Maritime or similar regulated industries Capability across mid-level to senior experience ranges Strong analytical skills, including both hand calculations and FEA (ANSYS preferred) Experience in structural repairs and welding methodologies Exposure to the Defence Seaworthiness Management System (desirable) A relevant degree in Structural, Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline Australian Citizenship is required to support security clearance process Why Join Us?
