Working for a dynamic Engineering firm based in Perth, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Project Engineer to work on various projects, working on behalf of the owner's team on Gold Projects from study through to commissioning. ABOUT THE ROLE Based in Perth, with the opportunity for future site work, you will support the Project Manager to successfully deliver a number of multi-disciplinary mining projects, by ensuring they are delivered on budget, within schedule and to a high level of quality. Assisting the Project Manager. Project planning and reporting. Interpreting engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes. Preparing, adjudicating and awarding tender and contractor packages. Managing interfaces with vendors, contractors and sub-contractors. Monitoring performance of vendors, contractors and sub-contractors. Providing on-site construction support. Resolving technical and design issues. Liaising with key stakeholders on technical and project delivery aspects of projects. Perth-based role but will eventually require a site presence through construction and commissioning. Work on local and international projects. ABOUT YOU Able to identify project risks and adopt mitigative strategies. Package Engineering experience highly regarded. Cost and Schedule responsibility. Estimating & tendering experience, highly regarded. Previous experience in mining projects. A recognised engineering degree Experience in the mining industry (essential). Ideally SMP background, but not essential. Significant understanding and practice of Occupational Health and Safety. WHATS IN IT FOR YOU: Great working environment and culture.
