About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery and optimisation of enterprise storage platforms within a large Federal Government environment. Operating at an EL1-equivalent level, this role is responsible for managing, configuring, and enhancing storage systems across both physical and virtual environments. You will play a key role in maintaining high availability, performance, and security of infrastructure platforms, while also contributing to future-state architecture and technology uplift initiatives. Position : Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer – $800–$1,200/day super Location : ACT (Onsite) Working Arrangement : Onsite Start Date : 27 April 2026 Duration : 12 months 2 x 12-month extensions Application Window : Closing 20 April 2026 Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage platforms across physical and virtual environments Configure, administer, and optimise storage systems to ensure performance and reliability Manage Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure including switches and connectivity Monitor and troubleshoot storage performance, capacity, and availability issues Support backup and recovery solutions including Veeam Backup and Replication Contribute to infrastructure architecture design and future platform strategy Produce detailed design, build, and operational documentation Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and operations teams Support after-hours on-call requirements as needed Ensure compliance with security and operational standards Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure services and processes About You Demonstrated experience working in large, complex ICT infrastructure environments Strong expertise in enterprise storage platforms such as HPE 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, NetApp, or Dell Data Domain Experience managing SAN technologies including Brocade switches and SAN management tools Proven ability to design, implement, and support storage and backup solutions Experience with backup technologies such as Veeam Backup and Replication Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience mentoring or coaching team members Knowledge of emerging storage and infrastructure technologies Must be able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance Must have valid working rights in Australia (Australian Citizen or long-term visa holders only; no sponsorship available) As a mandatory requirement for this contract role required by our client, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at .
