Working within the Kwinana Bulk Terminal (KBT) Redevelopment Project team, this major EPCM project is a rare opportunity with a location in the greater Perth metropolitan area, project stability, and an ability to have impact in a project set to significantly increase WA marine trade capability. Role Highlights Play a critical role in establishing project continuity, legal compliance, and community approval. Take ownership and establish Major Projects frameworks for Aboriginal cultural and historical heritage engagement. Respectful Aboriginal and Traditional Owner engagement accountability. K ey responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversees and guides Fremantle Ports Major Projects team in obligations under relevant cultural heritage agreements and legislation and ensures consideration of heritage in all project phases and operational execution. Provides coordination and oversight of Aboriginal heritage approvals. Manage interfaces with EIA, Aboriginal Engagement, regulators and consultants. Leads the establishment of new heritage agreements, policies and plans where required. Engages with heritage groups and custodians and delivers strategies for the preservation, interpretation, and management of heritage in Fremantle Ports projects and operations. What Makes You a Great Fit With proven engagement ability and influence in management and community settings, you will display exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills to facilitate resolution of complex, sensitive matters. You’ll also bring: Demonstrated experience and knowledge of cultural heritage requirements. Demonstrated working knowledge and application of relevant legislation in relation to Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title within Western Australia. Knowledge and experience in state heritage approvals processes. Minimum 5 years in a heritage approvals landscape.
