About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and relationship‑driven Business Development Manager to take ownership of a defined territory, working closely with veterinary clinics to grow and protect market share within a specialised pet aftercare services environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, working autonomously, and building long‑term, trusted relationships with Veterinary Owners, Practice Managers, and clinical teams. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, onboarding new clinics, and supporting existing partners through education, training, and ongoing service engagement. Duties Develop, manage, and grow strong relationships with veterinary clinics across your allocated territory. Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities while maximising growth within existing client partnerships. Oversee the onboarding and induction of new veterinary clinics, ensuring a seamless and professional experience. Deliver regular training, education, and service updates to veterinary teams to drive engagement and awareness. Maintain a high level of customer service when managing enquiries, expectations, and client concerns. Actively work towards achieving sales targets, call cycles, and other agreed performance metrics. Maintain accurate CRM records, reporting, and administration to support business development activity. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments, providing insights to support strategic planning. Attend relevant industry conferences, trade events, and internal meetings as required. Work collaboratively with internal teams to support service delivery, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction. Adhere to company policies, procedures, safety standards, and WH&S requirements at all times. Skills & Experience Proven experience in Business Development, Territory Sales, or Account Management, ideally within healthcare, veterinary, service‑based, or relationship‑led industries. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Demonstrated success managing a geographically large territory and working autonomously. High level of customer focus, professionalism, and emotional intelligence. Ability to manage multiple priorities while working towards sales and activity targets. Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate administrative records. Strong organisational skills with a proactive and solution‑focused approach. Confident working under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
