AIR6500 will provide a Joint Air Battle Management System capability for the Royal Australian Air Force. The system will provide multi-domain integration of air, electromagnetic, and missile defence battle management including deployable & fixed operations centres, communications, and both active & passive sensors. Your responsibilities will include: Liaising between Scrum Team and Commonwealth Customer, ensuring Epics, Features, and User Stories are understood and reflect customer needs and values Maximising the value of the products created by the IPT through communicating the vision and managing the product’s backlog, Inspecting, evaluating and planning product progress through each iteration, Actively participating in team sprint planning and proactively raise risk/Issues with IPT Lead/ Product manager, Working cross functionally within IPT teams to unblock the Mission issues and contribute to business success, and Actively contributing to PI planning and assisting teams to structure the features for Epic delivery. Responsible for the prioritisation, accuracy, and completeness of the teams Product Backlog Items (PBI’s), acceptance criteria, and nonfunctional requirements, and the Team backlog is aligned with the ART backlog priorities and is sustainable, Aligns with the ART Product Manager’s vision and roadmap, Responsible for understanding, capturing, and translating customer requirements and value, Accepts the work of the team during the iteration, ensures the work is complete, meets the acceptance criteria, and seeks feedback from the customer, Responsible for setting and communicating the Sprint / Iteration Goal and ensuring it aligns with the Vision, Mission, and Goal of the PI, Ensure the integrity of engineering activity by employing both quantitative and qualitative management approaches. Collect and use data to make data-driven decisions, Responsible for the continual identification and active management of teams’ risks, technical debt, and opportunities, Foster an inclusive work environment that values diversity, sharing, out-of-the-box thinking and seeing the big-picture, and help the Scrum Master create a psychologically safe environment for all development team members. About you: Significant experience with Agile Product Development leveraging Scrum & Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework, including backlog management and writing user stories. Significant understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. Significant experience with software engineering methodologies, systems engineering processes, DevSecOps and the overall engineering product lifecycle, preferably in a web-based development domain. Significant experience in leading multiple team and coordinating with team leads for successful outcomes. Significant experience with digital transformation campaigns, promoting the adoption of transformative tooling, processes and practices. Significant experience presenting complex solutions to audiences of wide-ranging knowledge levels. Significant understanding of program, functional, and process metrics including Earned Value Management (EVM). Experience with Cyber security and Governance Frameworks (ISM). Experience leading cross functional teams in Agile environment for successful outcome. Desirable Control Account Management (CAM) experience. SAFe or other recognized Agile framework Certification. Experience in Systems Engineering, Complex Systems Integration & Test, Model Based Systems Development (MBSD) and ModelBased Engineering (MBE) processes, principles and tools. Experience leading multiple teams through change. Knowledge and experience with IBM CLM/ELM tool suite (DOORS Next, Rhapsody, ETM, etc).
