An opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer, Operations to work with the design teams during development and production to guide and improve the manufacturability of products and design to cost. Your responsibilities will include: Control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Ensure that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Build relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrate learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. About you: To be successful you will have demonstrated experience with assembly and testing of ICT systems and electrical harness/cable manufacturing. Further, it's essential you demonstrate the following: Bachelor degree in Engineering Production, inventory management & ERP systems experience Effective planning of material management and equipment to meet operational and quality objectives The ability to understand material management reports and information Experience liaising with service contractors and service providers The ability to travel domestically as required Ideally, you will have defence industry experience Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
