Technical Sales Representative Sales Engineer Business Development Manager Location: Melbourne, Brooklyn, Truganina OR Dandenong Salary: $120,000 – $135,000 p/a Super Vehicle Bonus Permanent, Full Time Position Working Hours: Monday to Friday, between 7am – 5:00pm (flexible if needed) Are you a self-motivated Sales Representative with a strong knowledge of Construction / Temporary Works / Engineering Solutions for site based works? About the Role: Reporting to the Head of Solutions Sales, you will play a pivotal role working within across their existing customer base, building relationships and driving new business opportunities. The Sales / Account Management team will also be responsible for providing leads for you to grab hold of and chase down. The position will see you on the road up to 80% of the time, out on site, meeting with key stakeholders and understanding / providing solutions to customer problems. You’ll be required to be on site, looking at customer challenges and using your understanding of Engineering Concepts to come up with draft solutions / proposals, that can then be taken to the Engineering team to be fully formed. The role will suit you if you enjoy the thrill of identifying and chasing down lead/opportunities, whilst coming up with solutions to problems you encounter. Key Responsibilities: Revenue & Project Growth: Drive Engineering Solutions revenue by managing the full project lifecycle, from initial conceptual design through to final delivery. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with sales, design, and installation teams, as well as external consulting engineers, to ensure seamless project execution and equipment utilization. Market Strategy: Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify, introduce, and implement new product opportunities and service offerings nationally. Customised Solutions: Customise existing product groups to ensure suitability for the problem at hand – doesn’t need to provide detailed solution (Engineers / Team will provide this), but needs to be able to gather correct information to allow the Engineers to develop the required / tailored solution. Compliance & Versatility: Ensure full adherence to company policies while remaining flexible to undertake various tasks within your skill set to support the business. What You’ll Need: Previous experience working within Construction > Temporary Works, Water Infrastructure or, Pumping / De-Watering. Established presentation skills in being able to deliver proposals and engineering / technical solutions. Commercial Acumen to be able to develop profitable proposals. “Hunter” Sales mentality – be able to identify leads, establish a connection with the right people and, drive home a solution that meets the clients needs. Client management / negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to foster and drive positive relationships. Be able to “cut through the noise” to determine what a customer really needs! Accountability, reliability, and strong attention to detail.
