We are now seeking a Community Nursing Lead to help us establish and scale this new service offering. The Opportunity The Community Nursing Lead will be responsible for the development, implementation and leadership of Nimbus Health's community nursing services from the ground up. This role will lead the design of clinical frameworks, establish governance structures, set the standards that will define how we deliver nursing care in the community and help to build a high-performing nursing team. In addition to leadership responsibilities, this is a hands-on clinical role. The Community Nursing Lead will actively deliver nursing services in the community, providing high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their homes. This ensures a strong connection to frontline service delivery, informs decision-making, and sets the clinical standard for the broader team. As the clinical and operational lead for nursing, you will be working closely with the Directors, CTO, Head of Care Coordination, and other key stakeholders in the company. You will work to ensure our nursing services are safe, evidence-based, compliant, aligned with organisational objectives and seamlessly integrated within the broader Nimbus Health ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Clinical Service Delivery Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to clients in their homes across the community Conduct clinical assessments, develop care plans, and provide interventions in line with best practice Build strong relationships with clients, families, and care teams to support positive health outcomes Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with regulatory and organisational requirements Act as a clinical role model, demonstrating best practice and setting the standard for nursing care delivery Service Design & Launch Lead the design, development, and implementation of Nimbus Health's community nursing service model Develop and operationalise clinical policies, procedures, protocols, and care pathways in line with best practice and regulatory requirements Establish governance frameworks to ensure safe, high-quality and compliant nursing practice Contribute to the development of technology-enabled care workflows in collaboration with the CTO and Care Coordination team Clinical Oversight & Quality Maintain clinical oversight of nursing practice across all community service areas, while remaining actively engaged in frontline care Lead clinical governance activities including incident reviews, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives Monitor and evaluate client outcomes, implementing improvements based on data, feedback, and frontline insights Ensure all nursing services comply with AHPRA standards, relevant legislation, and Nimbus Health policies Team Leadership & Development Lead from the front as a hands-on clinician, setting expectations for quality, professionalism, and client-centred care Be involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and management of a team of community nurses, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassionate care Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and performance support to nursing staff Build team capability through ongoing education, professional development, and reflective practice Establish clear role frameworks, expectations, and career pathways for nursing staff Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Collaborate with internal stakeholders across technology, operations and care coordination to ensure integrated, seamless care for clients Work closely with senior leadership to align service delivery with strategic priorities and service growth Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders as required Service Growth and Optimisation Identify opportunities to expand and enhance service offerings Contribute to strategic planning and scaling of nursing services Support innovation and continuous improvement across the service About You Qualifications & Registration Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration (mandatory) Relevant postgraduate qualifications in community/primary health, nursing leadership, or management (highly desirable) Current driver's licence and regular access to a car Experience Significant experience in community, primary, or home-based nursing (minimum 5 years) Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and clinical supervision Demonstrated ability or willingness to balance clinical service delivery with leadership and operational responsibilities Proven track record in policy and procedure development, clinical governance, and quality improvement Experience working in a startup, growth-stage, or service development environment is highly regarded Skills & Attributes Strong clinical judgement with a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and operate effectively in a dynamic, growth-focused environment Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and is comfortable leading from the front in a building phase Comfortable working with digital health tools and open to innovation in care delivery Why Join Nimbus Health This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead a new service line within a growing organisation.
