Your New Role In this 6-month contract you will be reporting to the Head of Risk and Governance Advisory. This is a flexible second line role with much diversity. You will be regularly assigned to various Group Risk departments, as needed, to temporarily undertake important business‑as‑usual work or provide subject matter expert backfill. You will have the opportunity to work across Enterprise Compliance, Operational Risk, Governance and Risk Advisory and Enterprise Risk, engaging a diverse range of stakeholders across Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3. The successful applicant will bring hands‑on risk management experience within financial services and a strong ability to operate independently while partnering closely with subject matter experts. Key duties include but are not limited to; Support governance activities including Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) reasonable steps for the Chief Risk Officer. Execute Line 2 business‑as‑usual activities across Group Risk, including policy and standard reviews, risk reporting and monitoring activities. Conduct and review risk, obligation and control assessments, controls testing and assurance activities. Support Group Risk monitoring, incident management and GRC activities including action plan and findings reviews. Present and lead workshops, review risk‑related documentation and influence stakeholders across the Fund. Support risk integration into business planning and contribute to Group Risk prioritisation activities. Prepare reporting for relevant forums, including Board and Board Committees as required. Role model and promote a strong risk culture aligned to the Fund’s values and leadership principles. What You’ll Need 8 years’ experience in risk management with a proven track record of success. Strong understanding of risk, compliance and controls management practices and relevant standards. Experience completing risk management activities including risk and control assessments, control testing, incident management, monitoring, reporting and assurance. Working knowledge of governance practices, including supporting accountable persons in the execution of reasonable steps. Regulated industry experience, ideally within financial services. Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or a related field. Accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body such as RMIA or GIA or working towards one.
