This design-focused architecture studio located in central Melbourne is seeking a highly capable Technical Architect / Senior Architectural Technician to join their growing team. This is a key technical role within the practice, working closely with the Project Lead and broader consultant team to deliver high-quality documentation across complex project typologies. You will play a central role in the delivery and coordination of detailed documentation , ensuring technical excellence from design development through to construction. Projects include Datacentres, Commercial, Multi-storey residential, Student accommodation, Cultural and Civic projects. You will collaborate closely with the project team to lead documentation packages and provide technical input throughout the construction phase, including site engagement and coordination with builders. Key Responsibilities Lead and contribute to detailed construction documentation in Revit Develop high-quality technical detailing and resolve complex design issues Coordinate consultant documentation (structural, services, façade, etc.) Work closely with Project Architects and Directors to deliver projects on time and within budget Attend site meetings and liaise directly with builders and contractors Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contract administration queries Ensure documentation aligns with relevant codes and construction standards Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Senior Architectural Technician Advanced proficiency in Revit (essential) Strong documentation and detailing capability Demonstrated experience across datacentres, commercial, industrial, multi-residential, or student accommodation projects Solid understanding of Australian construction methodologies and NCC requirements Confident communicator with consultants, clients, and builders On-site experience and practical problem-solving ability Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines What We Offer CBD studio location Flexible work environment Collaborative and technically strong team environment Exposure to large-scale, complex project types Opportunity to take ownership of documentation delivery Career progression within a growing practice This is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven professional who enjoys delivering well-resolved, buildable architecture and working closely with construction teams.
