Operations Manager role leading waste services operations, managing teams, improving efficiency and ensuring safe, compliant service delivery The Company Our client is a well-established operator within the waste management and environmental services sector, providing essential services to commercial, industrial and municipal customers across Australia. With a strong reputation for reliability, safety and operational excellence, the business continues to expand its footprint and service capability. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead site operations, drive performance improvements and ensure safe, efficient service delivery across their waste services operations. The Role This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance across a busy waste services facility. You will lead operational teams, manage logistics and ensure service delivery meets safety, compliance and customer expectations. Key responsibilities include: • Leading day-to-day operations across waste processing, transport and site activities • Managing operational teams including supervisors, drivers and plant operators • Driving safety, compliance and environmental standards across the facility • Improving operational efficiency, productivity and cost performance whilst formulating opportunities for the business to increase volume • Coordinating logistics, fleet utilisation and customer service delivery • Working closely with senior leadership to support business growth and operational strategy Your Background To be successful in this role you will bring: • Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior leadership role • Background in waste management, logistics, recycling or manufacturing • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing large operational teams • A strong focus on safety, compliance and operational performance • Experience improving processes, efficiency and operational outcomes What’s On Offer This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation within a critical infrastructure sector.
