Position Summary : The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The role supports clients and internal stakeholders by delivering timely and accurate reporting, tax planning, and advisory services to support sound business decision-making. This position plays a key part in client relationship management, audit engagement support, and identifying opportunities for financial and operational improvement. Strong analytical capability, technical expertise, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Key Requirements : 2–5 years’ experience in an accounting, tax, or audit role. Strong exposure to financial reporting and taxation for individuals and businesses. Experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks). Skills Strong technical accounting and financial analysis capability. Excellent understanding of AASB, ATO legislation, and auditing principles. High-level accuracy and attention to detail. Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to draw meaningful insights. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Job Responsibility : Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare accurate financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Conduct financial analysis and interpret results to identify trends or issues. Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports for clients. Maintain high-quality workpapers in line with AASB requirements. Taxation Prepare tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs. Advise clients on tax planning strategies and legislative changes. Assist with complex taxation queries and support clients in resolving ATO matters. Ensure full compliance with ATO regulations and reporting obligations. Client Advisory & Relationship Management Provide financial advice, budgeting support, and business planning guidance. Communicate insights clearly to clients and stakeholders. Build strong, trusted client relationships through professional service delivery.
