About the role We are looking for a Compliance and Assurance Officer to support the risk, compliance, quality, sustainability, and assurance activities across the portfolio of assets. You will support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of their risk, compliance and quality management systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory, certification, and internal governance requirements. The main responsibilities of this role include: Maintain controlled policies, procedures, and records in line with document control requirements. Assist in coordinating internal audits and external certification assessments. Support assurance audits of performance reports submitted by key service providers. Issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs), track non-conformities and corrective actions, and maintain the quarterly Corrective Action Dashboard. Assist in drafting the annual SCS Annual Safety Performance Report submitted to the rail regulator. Collect and update WHS data for monthly reporting. Support the Sustainability & Risk team in collecting, assuring and recording data for the Sustainability Report and Mandatory Climate (Financial) Reporting (FY27 and beyond). Support preparation of internal reports for management review. Assist with risk/WHS incident management processes and investigations Maintain SharePoint and document management systems. About you A highly organised multi-tasker with strong stakeholder engagement, you will be analytical and comfortable working in a regulated environment. You enjoy working with systems, data, and processes and have a strong attention to detail. Professional experience in risk (WHS and Corporate), compliance, quality assurance, auditing, administration, or certification support Experience working in a compliance-based environment Knowledge or exposure to ISO9001 (essential) and Rail National Safety Law (desirable) Completed training in auditing, quality systems, or compliance (desirable) Proficient excel skills to collect, manipulate and analyse data Effective written and verbal communication skills, including report writing If you are looking to build your career in compliance and assurance within a dynamic infrastructure environment, please click APPLY.
