We deliver water management solutions for our clients as an independent service line, as well as part of larger multidisciplinary teams on a broad range of exciting projects. Working as a local team and as part of a broader team of water professionals across Australia, we undertake surface water investigations, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, impact assessments, development of surface water management strategies and engineering design for mining, hydrocarbons, chemicals and infrastructure clients. We are seeking applications from Hydrologists / Water Resources Engineers to join our Water Resources team based in our Perth Office. At Worley, you will have the opportunity to lead and work on large-scale world class projects focused on design and execution of field investigations, assessments supporting conceptual and detailed engineering design of water-related aspects on a wide variety of projects from inception to closure. An innovative approach towards problem solving and the ability to develop profitable business relationships are also very important. Essential Skills / Experience Tertiary level qualifications in Environmental Engineering/Hydrology/Civil Engineering from a recognised institution; Depending on the candidate’s technical background, technical experience in one or all of the following: Site water management, water balance investigations, flood studies, rainfall-runoff modelling, hydraulic modelling, surface-groundwater interactions, water quality modelling and management, dam hydrology; Concept and detailed design of road and railway culverts, bridges, floodways, road drainage, flood levees, dams and major diversions for large scale linear infrastructure, mining and energy projects; Concept and detailed design of urban and industrial stormwater drainage systems incorporating Water Sensitive Urban Design principles; Environmental Impact Assessments. Demonstrated rainfall-runoff and 2D floodplain modelling experience (RORB and TUFLOW preferred); Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams solving complex water issues; Excellent communication skills and actively seeks and promotes collaboration with team members and co-workers; Proven track record in project delivery; Excellent report writing skills; Experience planning and managing projects with good commercial acumen desirable but not essential; Active in national hydrological and/or engineering communities; and Current Australian driver's licence. Specific Accountabilities Contribute to large scale and multidisciplinary projects for clients across a broad range of sectors as directed by project managers, lead engineers or line manager; Undertake technical and QA/QC review tasks on projects; Project management and preparation of proposals; Assist in the preparation of proposals; Participate in the planning and implementation of projects as required; Provide and receive guidance to/from colleagues and mentor junior team members; Be responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of Worley’s Quality Assurance System; Be responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for Worley’s I&E CSG. Understand and follow OH&S procedures. Matching Indicators Relevant experience in a consulting environment. Well versed in the application of hydrological methods outlined in ARR2019. Suitable qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Hydrology and/or Civil Engineering.
